Most of you know us from organising the Semakau Landfill trip in 2019 and most recently in 2023.
We set that big bold goal of bringing as many community groups down as possible.
But since Semakau Landfill was closed in 2024,our dream was a little dashed and we received many inquiries asking when the landfll will be open again
We finally spotted an updatel!
Based on NEA’s website, Semakau Landfill visits will be suspended until January 2026:(
Now what? Well, if you are stillkeen on Singapore’s waste management system, we have 2 Waste To Energy Incineration plant trips planned out instead
During the visit to the incineration plant, you can see what happens to our trash before it is sent to Semakau Landfl!
