What you will learn: ⁃ Understand the environmental benefits of upcycling. ⁃ Explore creative ways to repurpose everyday waste into accessories. ⁃ Learn about different types of recyclable materials and their properties. ⁃ Identify suitable upcycled materials (e.g., aluminum cans beverage cups, plastic tubes). ⁃ Use basic sewing tools: needles, thread, pliers, scissors, and adhesives. ⁃ Experiment with layering and embellishments (beads, fabric, metal details),. ⁃ Learn proper cleaning and maintenance of upcycled accessories.
Perfect for sewing beginners and eco-enthusiasts alike, this hands-on workshop will teach you how to create beautiful, unique pieces of accessories using upcycled materials such as aluminum cans and beverage cups.
In this workshop, participants willearn about the benefits of upcycling and how to transform aluminum cans and beverage cups into earrings, hair clips, brooches or rings through basic sewing techniques
Note: ⁃ All materials and tools provided ⁃ Age suitable for 12 years and older no sewing experience required ⁃ Parents are welcome to join!
