nuscities Cities are increasingly challenged by the polycrisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, income inequality, territorial expansionism, populist activism, miss-information cyber-insecurity etc. Individualism will only exacerbate the issues. Drawing from evolutionary theory, multilevel selection-based co-operation is the only answer. And to achieve it, cities will need to focus on their commons and the common good. The lecture will explore pathways to achieve this.
