“We can’t let good be just a word. It has to mean something.” 🪄 In our work to nudge sustainability, we often notice that certain groups are underrepresented or undersupported in activities many have access to. This year, thanks to the generous support of these corporate partners, we had the chance to change that!
From DIY planter workshops with the youth of Jalan Kukoh at ReadAble exploring self-sufficiency, to upcycling food waste into eco-enzymes and coffee scrubs with persons with special needs at MINDS Me Too! Club, reinforcing daily skills like motor coordination, and plastic recycling workshops with children at SBL Vision FSC, participants explored creative, hands on experiences they don’t often get. 🫧
Even more importantly, these activities created space to slow down and build meaningful connections between volunteers and participants, and between people and sustainability. These partnerships have shown us what “good” can mean in practice, beyond just a word. 💚🩷
