[RESCHEDULED] 👗 How much can one T-shirt do?
A lot, considering that the fashion industry accounts for around 10% of global carbon emissions.
From cotton farming to textile dyeing, manufacturing, shipping and disposal, every piece of clothing carries an environmental footprint. Yet many garments are worn only a few times before being thrown away.
🤔 What does fashion have to do with climate change?
👕 Resource-intensive production Clothing production requires enormous amounts of water, energy and raw materials.
🗑 Textile waste
Millions of tonnes of clothing are discarded every year, often after being worn only a few times.
♻ Circular solutions exist
Extending the life of clothing through swapping, resale and reuse can significantly reduce environmental impact.
