With support from a regular yolunteer, Cuifen guided three families to harvest finished compost made in a park. Together, they enriched planted areas with the finished compost-while removing litter, covering the soil with fallen leaves, and pruning plants.
The group paused to admire the texture and life of the finished compost. We spotted a tiny amphibian! We also compared soil that was underneath a pile of compost with hard clay discarded by gardeners.
As part of Go Green SG, Cuifen is hosting two free-to-join compost-making sessions:
Join Cuifen, Jurong Regional Library staff and volunteers to turn food scraps and horticultural mulch into life-giving compost. Swipe to the end for info, and DM us for more details!
Als..Cuifen is exploring a paid subscription model. Your contribution would help cover materials and time for running compost stewardship activities in select neighbourhoods -and you’ll get first dibs on future public sessions. DM if you’re keen!
