What happens when we sow our collective dreams of land and place into the soil? Why does it matter here in Singapore?

We are so often reminded that ecological harm does not stay contained within national boundaries. The air we breathe, the food we grow, and the ecosystems we depend on are deeply interconnected. The land beneath our feet is never entirely separate from land elsewhere, and vice versa.

Soil isn’t just out there, in distant forests, open fields and large farms. It is beneath our feet in community gardens, in the pots on our HDB balconies, and in the hands of everyone who cares about their health, where their food comes from and how biodiversity is protected.

In our final course of the year, Reimagining Our Soil Story, a three-part exploration of soil regeneration, we’ll trace these connections, from the ground beneath us to the wider landscapes we are part of.

Through hands-on learning, exploratory dialogue, and a visit to a local regenerative garden where we get our hands into the soil, you’ll see how the soil movement is already alive and growing right here in Singapore.
